How to make your own labels

Finally, here it is: how to make your own labels tutorial.

It's a very easy thing to do, but it requires some time. Of course there is an easier and cleaner way to do your labels using Spoonflower (I found a tutorials on this some time ago. I will link it later) but I'm always afraid that I will pay much more on the shipping fare than the product it self.

So here it goes, my way on making labels.

Materials needed: the stamp of your brand, fabric paint and an ink pad. I've had my stamp done professionally and because it has different from normal dimensions I couldn't find an empty ink pad to fit it, so I asked my father-in-law to make me a custom ink pad. As for the fabric paint I used the left over of the black paint I used for making the moustaches on my moustache dress.

Black Burda jacket

Hy guys...I now I've been writing so few posts in the past 2 months but I've been preparing a lot of stuff for you guys: some tutorials, trying to redesign my blog (and learning some html in the same time), crocheting some things for my shop and a lot of researching on Pinterest :D (I'm addicted to Pinterest what can I say).

In the meantime, while the tutorials are ready for blogging I let you with some cute buttons I received from a friend of mine from Greece and a jacket I made last year and I didn't blog about it...

aren't they cute?
I'm still debating on whatever to use them on a blouse or on a skirt...
any ideas?

The Laurel with moustaches

Finally my last entry to the Laurel contest. It's for the self designed category, it took about 2 days to paint, wash and dry and about a day to sew and I am realy proud of it.

So enough talk, let's bring the pictures.

Colatte Laurel dress (sarafan)

Well, it time to reveal the dress with the detail on the neckline that I showed you in last week's sneak preview.

It's an entry in the Laurel contest for the fall category because it's a thicker fabric and it's suited for fall and for spring to be worn over a shirt or something with longer sleeves.

I made little modifications on the pattern for this dress and it was ready in 2 days. Really easy to sew pattern once you don't do so many alterations.
